It’s been so nice to see more and more community events returning this year, and we have fingers crossed for a jam-packed year of festivities in 2022. We can’t wait that long however, so as we head towards the festive season, we wanted to share some of the local events that we think are absolute musts this winter. We would love you to share your favourites, as well!
Another one at Holy Trinity Church to celebrate the season. They will be hosting the Christmas Bazaar for the whole of the newly formed Seaside Parish comprising St Peter’s and All Saints Malborough, Holy Trinity Salcombe, and Holy Trinity Galmpton. We can’t wait!
On St Nicholas Day (6th December) the St Peter’s Foundation with Holy Trinity Church are holding a fundraising buffet lunch with mulled wine along with a Christmas raffle, while ministry interns Brandon and Mary will be giving a short walk ‘on their journey to Salcombe. It starts at 12 noon and includes a glass of mulled wine, main course is chicken and smoked bacon with tarragon and cream and rice, followed by sticky toffee pudding and coffees. Tickets are £10 will all funds raised going to St Peter’s Foundation. Tickets are available at the Holy Trinity Church office and The Winking Prawn.
This must be a favourite event for anyone in or visiting Salcombe. Truly the start of the Christmas period, it brings so much joy! Be there at 6pm and see the switch on accompanied by Salcombe Primary School children and Salcombe Gospel Choir.
Carols by the sea! On 20th December, bring your singing voices for carols on Whitestrand, organised by Salcombe Rotary Club. It starts at 6pm!
This year the Malborough Amateur Dramatic Group (M.A.D), are gearing up for a panto performance of The Wizard of Oz at Malborough Village Hall. It will be Gaby Kavanna's third directorial production and will hopefully be another great success!
